Located by the coast of North Sealand, the Tisvilde Hegn forest offers 9 km of Denmark’s best beaches. A unique sand dune terrain with a dune plantation.
In addition you will find Sealand’s biggest heath and a varied forest having 150 year old big and beautiful beech trees, the Troll Forest with quirky and crooked trees. The forest also contains big pine trees, Norway spruce, oak trees and a soft moss carpet at the bottom.
Is is easy to reach the start area by means of public transport or car.
Train: You can take the train to Tisvildeleje St. From there it is a short walk through the main street of the holiday town to the start (1500 meters / 1 mile). Coming from Copenhagen airport you will change trains 2 times and it will take about 1 hour and 40 minutes. You can find your train connection at Rejseplanen.
Car: By car you can easily park in the big parking lot by the beach. The address is Hovedgaden 112, 3220 Tisvildeleje. From Copenhagen airport you should expect to drive for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
The start and finish area is located 300 meters into the forest from the southern end of the parking lot. Follow the markings from the parking lot.
